Lloyds recognise Metro excellence
The Global Freight Awards (GFA) are arguably the industry’s most prestigious and hotly contested, with the world’s biggest carriers and forwarders competing against smaller, more agile competitors, across a range of categories. The GFA judges have short-listed Metro as finalists in three categories.
These short-listings follow on from our success at last year’s Global Freight Awards, winning the ‘Air Freight’ and ‘Digital Transformation’ categories.
Lloyd’s Loading List has been an essential resource for shippers since 1853. Their Global Freight Awards is a long-established annual tradition and, arguably, the industry’s most prestigious event, attracting the biggest brands and players.
The Global Freight Awards is independently judged, with data-validated categories.
Adjudicated by respected industry bodies and leaders, they provide the most impartial recognition of the award’s participants achievements.
At Metro we are proud of our team and the difference they make for our customers.
We believe that highlighting their achievements, by participating in these awards, sends a positive message to them, creates a buzz within the business and recognises their contribution to our success.
Metro are finalists in three categories:
Digital Transformation – Showcasing our ability to swiftly develop complex technical solutions to global issues
Employer of the year – Detailing the development and continuing success of Metro’s under-graduate placement programme
Supply Chain Partnership – Metro’s continuing commitment to developing regional air cargo hubs and logistics infrastructure, as an alternative to congested primary airports.
