We’re looking for a Transport Planner to join our high-performing team based out of Felixstowe. As part of our Transport team, you’ll be primarily working as a support function for our internal departments and work with the Intermodal Manager to manage our transport booking requirements. The role will be varied and involve interface will all departments, working with suppliers direct and shipping lines as we strengthen our transport operation. Quality control and ensuring we meet transport bookings without fail will be first stage but will involve proactive development as we expand our operation going forward.

What You’ll Be Doing
As part of our Transport team, you’ll be …
Transport Planning
- Haulage allocation and day to day management as required
- Focal Point, both with internal and external customers
- Complete all requirements and or offer alternative options to complete.
Transport service level & Cost Constraints
- Ensure all Haulage requirements are met by approved suppliers.
- Adapt and consider alternative requirements as required
- Balance Cost and Service requirements at all times
Haulage Product
- Key Accounts, sustain and develop key flow requirements and provide support to the Multimodal transport manager.
- Supplier KPI monitoring, complete and assist management
- Develop relationships with all suppliers and focal points at Shipping Lines.
- Transport system development and assistance enhancing house systems to support.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who’s not just experienced, but passionate about logistics. You’ll need:
- UK Haulage operation, FCL / LCL and warehousing operations
- Intermodal and multiple ports operations
- Good geographic and container inventory knowledge
- A sharp eye for detail and understanding of its commercial impact.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong numerical and commercial acumen.
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and Windows systems (Cargowise experience is a plus).
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset with great time management.
- Enthusiasm, flexibility, and self-motivation.
